What staff say:

“Having a wellbeing space that recognises my identity made all the difference.”

"The sessions were a real eye opener and really educational. Made me reflect on multiple areas. The counsellor created a listening space that moved to solutions over the 6 weeks"

“The sessions really helped me, what worked the most was the breathing techniques, Yoga and a safe space to talk. 6 sessions are too short they should increase the number to at least 10.”

"I took on board the breathing techniques, I felt a sense of peace and calm but recognised that I needed more help. Admitting to myself that it is okay not to be okay and having your wellbeing impacted by your working environment is not a sign of weakness it is a sign that you need to reach out for help"

"I still hold and practice the advice given. The therapist was brilliant and always had appropriate tools to work through and plenty of additional material I can tap into on an ongoing basis.”

What We’ve Learnt:

Staff crave safe,
non-judgemental spaces

Particularly those
from marginalised backgrounds

Intersectionality
matters

One-size-fits-all wellbeing approaches fall short, culturally concoius tailored support has better results

Compassion fatigue
is high

Especially in frontline organisations and client-facing roles, where staff continuously support individuals in need.

Social impact sectors are under more pressure

Development cuts and political instability have had immediate impact on organisations in mission driven industries

Long-term social change requires sustained effort

If organisations neglect staff wellbeing, they risk losing passionate people to burnout. A focus on wellbeing ensures teams can continue making a difference for years to come.

These insights guide how we refine our services, select our practitioners, and advise our partners.

Looking Ahead

We're just getting started — and we’re looking to grow with like-minded funders and organisations. We listen and learn form our users to build out Tailored Wellbeing EAP into a service that supports the needs of those in the social impact sectors.

"Long term therapy sessions - these sessions have highlighted how valuable therapy can be One wellbeing day per month throughout employment - it would remove the headache of finding time to focus on wellbeing"

What staff want:

"I would continue the sessions on a fortnightly basis. Over the period of the 3 sessions it felt great for my wellbeing to know when I had a session upcoming and what I would like to discuss."

I'd love to have more sessions and access to a team wellbeing programme. I think this could work wonders in a collective care setting. Especially for the migration and refugee sector at the moment."

Work with us

Because Wellbeing Should Be Tailored — Not Tokenistic

At Tailored Wellbeing, we create inclusive, intersectional support systems for people doing high-impact work in emotionally demanding spaces. In partnership with The Black Wellbeing Collective, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is built around care that’s contextual, culturally responsive, and deeply human.

We believe that people working for social good deserve social good in return — starting with their own wellbeing.
