Mma Yeebo

  • Dr Mma Yeebo is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. She is the Clinical lead at a therapy clinic based at Newcastle University. She is involved in research around the psychological wellbeing needs of racially and ethnically minoritised university students studying in the North-East of England.

    She has clinical experience in working in community-based mental health environments and secure high-risk, high harm and high-vulnerability settings.

    She provides individual, trauma informed one to one work based around principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and systemic therapy. Her clinical and research interests include depression, anxiety, and trauma.

  • I enjoy live music and theatre. I love to read fiction, especially novels set in West Africa, or with a Dystopian element. Recently I have been getting into gardening and exploring the healing, nurturing properties of nature. I also enjoy interior design.

  • I am very inspired by the strength and tenacity of young people. I also feel very inspired by the beauty and perseverance of nature.
